GOD'S PAINTBRUSH

On Sunday morning, 5th December 2021 (Rosh Hodesh Tevet) I opened one eye as my alarm clock rang at 6.30.
The skyscape's beauty made me jump out of bed, pull on a sweater, grab my smart-phone camera that I had left in the hallway overnight, immediately run out to my roof-deck and climb the metal ladder to our upper roof.

The domed building on the right is the Hurva Synagogue
and the building on the left with the scaffolding around the dome is the Tiferet Yisrael Synagogue
which is in the process of being rebuilt.

I am reminded of the verse in Psalms 19:
The heavens declare the glory of God and the sky proclaims His handiwork
:הַשָּׁמַ֗יִם מְסַפְּרִ֥ים כְּבוֹד־אֵ֑ל וּמַֽעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָ֜דָ֗יו מַגִּ֥יד הָֽרָקִֽיעַ
