New Exhibition in Mamilla Mall, Spring 2021
On 19th April I was walking through Mamilla Mall for the first time in a couple of months
and I was delighted to see many of these new exhibits.
I share with you here my favorite ones.

These colorful recorders, created by Efra'im ben Aharon, stand at the entrance to Mamilla Mall,
on the corner of the Kariv Street. This is my favorite shot of these recorders, with the purple one in the center.

I love this colorful giraffe, the first exhibit as you walk into Mamilla Mall from King David Street.
It stands between two Israeli flags, as if on guard duty.
The archway behind the giraffe leads to Queen Shlomzion Street.

Jerusalem's white dove is wearing a coat of many colors!
The stones behind this dove are numbered so that in the course of rennovation of the buildings,
they could be removed and returned to their exact place.
The faces of many stones in the Mamilla Mall have such numbering.

This piece of art was created by Efra'im ben Aharon.
The words are from Psalm 91:11, also included in the prayers we say before Kiddush on Friday night:
"For He with instruct His angels on your behalf, to guard you in all your ways."
I love this verse and I love this rendition of it in gold, attached to an angel's wing.

The words of Psalm 122 form a spiral:
"A Song of Ascents by David.
I was joyous when they said to me,
"Let us go to the House of HaShem."
Our feet stood within your gates, O Jerusalem...."
This is one of my favorite psalms, and I find this piece of art very inspiring.

Both this exhibit and the following one, created by Meyrav Nadav-Meirovich, of mother and child,
are fashioned from thick wire. I find this medium fascinating,
and I find these two pieces of sculpture (are they in the realm of impressionism?) very moving.

I find this striped white donkey and its rider very appealing.
It reminds me of the donkey of Mashiach,
and I find it interesting that the rider is looking in the opposite direction to that of the donkey.
Note, as in the third photo above, these numbered stones were moved
in the course of rennovation of the buildings
and returned to their exact place.
